Our Linguistics Work
Since 1996, our linguistics team has created speech, natural language, image, and video data used to train models for a broad range of applications. From chatbots to driverless cars, this data is essential to the advancement of AI and machine learning. If you have a background in linguistics and want to apply your skills to the forefront of human language technology, you’re in the right place.
All Levels of Experience
Positions available for a variety of skills:
- B.A., M.A., or Ph.D. in Linguistics, Speech Science, or a related field of study

Knowledge of Phonetics, Phonology, Semantics, Syntax, and/or Pragmatics

Prior annotation experience and computer programming experience

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Experience processing text-based data using regular expressions
- Bilingual or multilingual
Our Language Jobs
Data Collection
Collect high quality speech, text, and handwriting data in over 180 different languages to meet model training needs for virtual assistants.
Transcription, Translation, and Localization
If you specialize in Historical Linguistics or language documentation, you can analyze and document particular features of languages we work with and help build grammars that are used in machine learning.
Annotation and Phonetic Dictionary Development
If you have a background in phonetics, our speech technology jobs offer opportunities for you to analyze speech at multiple levels and improve training data for assistants that recognize or produce spoken language.
Content Analytics and Natural Language Processing
If your background is in syntax, semantics, or pragmatics, we have jobs for annotators and leads to identify categories of meaning and structure. You will work with cutting-edge real-world data used to train assistants to better understand or generate natural language.
